ADECOM Organized Children’s Rights Day on 20th Nov. 2007

ADECOM Network organized the Chidlrens Rights Day at Govt. Primary Schoo, Korkaddu, Puducherry on 20th Nov. The main objectives of the children’s rights days are:

  • Children to know about their rights especially the right to education, right to expression, right to environment.
  • They have to bring out their creativity and skills.
  • They should get the exposure within the schools to get the creative mind.
  • Childrens respect each others and build the childrens world.

Kootu-K-Kural staff Mr.Elumalai organized the Childrens rights day event in Korkaddu Govt. School Puducherry.  He invited the nearby schools Athuvaikalpet, Mangalam. Nearly 60 students participated and learned the different skills from the volunteers.  The same day they performed the dance, songs, stories, paintings, clays etc. infront of the teachers and the team members of ADECOM and Kootu-K-Kural.

After the event all the children got their prizes and certificates from ADECOM.  The managing Trustee P.LALIDA, wished all the students to come for higher studies without any school dropouts.

ADECOM’s Computer training for Dalit young girls and boys

ADECOM organized training on Computer with the support of Planet Urgence, France. The trainer Ms. Caroline started the training from Nov 3 until Nov 17. ADECOM invited the young dalit girls and boys to participate in this training. The main feedback from the trainer is the following.

1. In the training course ten girls and two boys were participated.
2. At the beginning it was difficult to teach them in English for computer concept.They did not have the opportunity to attend this kind of courses. But now, they are able to edit their own resume by WORD and setup list by Excel.
3. The trainees are independent to make their own programme. They are proud about their own development.
4. All the trainees got more confident to continue the computer knowledge by themselves.
